The Minister for Labor, replying to the suggestion of Mr. Ell, M.P., stated that lie regretted lie could not at present give instructions for another party for North ftland bush-felling contracts being got together in this city. Of a party of 18 men for the Midland Railway works, 15 turned up this morning and left for the works. WELLINGTON RELIEF. Wellington, Last Night. The Citizens' Unemployed Relief Fu<jd now amounts to about £4OO. AT WiAXGANCI. Wanganui, Last Night. Iu response to the Borough Council's invitation, fi,> unemployed handed in their names to-day. The majority will be employed on works which the Council has authorised for the purpose.
