WANGANUI FANCIERS' SHOW

(Special to News.) Wanganui, Last Night. Large entries were received for the Wanganui Fanciers' Show, which opened to-day. The entries included 33U fowls, 21 ducks, 211 pigeons, 70 canaries, and 78 entries in the home industries, Mr. 'feed's Black Orpington cock was highly commended, a pullet shown by him taking second. In pigeons Mr. Moverlev secured one first and five seconds, Mr. Boulton three thirds, and Mr. Beal two thirds. Mr. Egan (Hastings) secured the North Island Championship for homer pigeons. The Black Orpington Championship was won by Mr. J. Gordon I (Wellington), and the champion shield for the best Wyandotte in the show by Mr. D. Soman (Blenheim).
