AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At a meeting of the Auckland Kuguy Union, held this evening, it was decided to write to the New Zealand Rugby Union suggesting that the North and South Island match at Wellington be played on September 4th. The itinerary of the Auckland Union's southern tour is now definitely fixed as follows: Play Wellington August 28th; Wanganui, August 31st; Taranaki, September 2nd. It was decided to suggest to Taranaki that the special match he played at Auckland on September 11th. NORTHERN GAME DEVELOPMENTS. ANOTHER TRIP HOME IN PROSPECT Dunedin, Monday. W. Johnston, who was a member of the All Black football team, and who i also made a trip, to England as a member of the Northern Union team, has I returned to Dunedin. He states that the visit of another New Zealand team will he acceptable to the Home body in about two years' time, provided it is sent under the management of a league affiliated to the Northern Union at Home. They will have no more teams sent by_an ihdividMl Todd is returning to .New ZeauuKTin about a fortnight, and is not likely to go back to England. George Smith is settled down ill Oldham. Wrigley is at Huddersfleld, and is staying there until the end of next season. Kelly is at St. Helens, where he is finishing his trade. McGregor is in Gloucestershire, and is anxious to return to New Zealand. Johnston Mill remain here to organise the next team that goes from New Zealand Home. He says: "We may get a call from the 1 Northern Union in eighteen months or two years, but it is almost a certainty that a team will go the season after the next one at Home."
