Seventeen games of euchre were played, and the winner of the gentlemen's prize was Mr. L. Harrison, who had thirteen games to his credit. Tile prize was a pocket-hook. The successful lady was Miss Maud husk, ivlio annexed eleven games. This prize was a silver butter knife. The booby prize was won liy Mr. N. Simpson ((rents') and Miss N. Simpson (laily's). The room was then cleared and dancing was indulged in until an early hour next morning. Mr. 11. Young supplied the music (accorilcon). At midnight an excellent supper was handed round ami much appreciated. Our schoolmaster ("Mr. A. V. Rims) wlio lias been appointed master of the Xgaire school, and was to have left here tliis week, will now remain here for another month. The local school committee objected to his giving a week's notice, they considering a weekwas too short ill which to enable them to fill the vacancy.
