Christchurch, July 4. Football matches, played in wet weather, resulted as follows:—Sydenham (!)) beat Old Boys (nil); Christchurch (17) beat Albion (nil); Linwood (14) heat Canterbury College (3); Merivale, a bye. Dunedin, July 4. There was an ideal football day on Saturday, wltE 3ry grounds. The various matches resulted: —Alhainbra ,(7) beat Port Chalmers (a); Southern (0) beat Kaikourai (nil); Dunedin (12) beat Zingari-Richmond (3); Pirates (11) beat Union (8); Taieri, Rovers (24) beat University (3).
