A FAR-REACHING SCHEME. London, July 2. The.Press delegates and the London Executive Committee have made the existing organisation a permanent body to consider the interest of the Press o'f the Empire as a whole and to make the necessary arrangements in connection with it. The conference therefore established a Empire Press Association, which will be restricted to daily papers —all on a basis of cnunlitv with asi-ir-i----'ations and committees—in each douiiu•ion and dependency. The tjir'tarial work is to bo carried on in London. Mr. C, A. Pearson, who, hitherto, has been ill, presided.
