DISASTROUS LAND SLIDE
TWENTY KILLED. Received July 4, 5.30 p.m. London, July .']. ■ A land slide in a deep trench at the ntiw lock at the Alexandra Dock extension, Newport (Monmouth), buried many workmen. It is estimated that twenty perished. Others were extricated alive from under the angles formed by fallen timber.
