NAVAL WORKS VOTE. London, July 2. The House of Commons has agreed to the Naval Works vote.
TAX ON PETROL. London, July 2. Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, has promised to reduce the tax on petrol for doctors' motors to H'/sil, also to consider the best way of exempting foreign and colonial tourist cars from taxation.
NEXT ELECTIONS. THE DOMINANT ISSUE. Received July 4, 5.30 p.m. London, July 3. Addressing a mass meeting at southport, the Premier (Mr. H. H. a*i|iuir) defended the Budget, and repeated that tile relations between the two Houses of Parliament would be the dominant issue at the next general election.
