XEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. By Telegraph.— Press Association Wellington, Last Night. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night decided that the North v. South Island match be played at Wellington on August 21st, provided this date docs not clash with the inter-union fixtures already made. It was decided to remove the disqualification imposed upon the Takapau Club for not paying dues. In connection with the allegations by the South Canterbury Union that a player who had been disqualified in Timaru for professionalism was playing for Kaikorai Club, Dunedin,. it was decided to send the secretary of the South Canterbury Union to Dunedin to see if he can identify the player in question. It was decided to ask the South Canterbury Union for a fuller report regarding certain disqualifications imposed as the outcome of the disturbance in the match Celtic v. Pirates. An intimation was received that the New Zealjind Sports Federation, formed in 1907, b,ad decided to disband. The Southland Union challenged the committee's' decision in reference to the expulsion of, players for professionalism, submitting that the New Zealand Union had no right to do this under the rules. —lt was decided to adhere to the former resolution.
At the conclusion of the recent football inquiry, the management committee, of the Stratford Football Club adopted a report to the effect that after carefully reviewing all the evidence in connection with the exclusion of a senior player from a recent match, it finds there is nc conclusive evidence in support of the allegations made. The committee directs that thy whole of the evidence be forwarded to the Taranaki Rugby Onion.—Stratford Post.
