Mitchell Thompson, "said the raruitinciit of female laborers for servile inside and outside the New Hebrides under British licenses was forbidden, but the authorities were prepared to allow white residents to have women domestic servants, provided their engagement was o.ily for; three months with optional renewal, and', that they be not removed more than ten miles from home.
