The municipal baths will be closed during the mouths of July and August. Messrs.- Kirkcaldie and Stains insert a replace advertisement in this issue dealing with evening scarves. Messrs. MeEwcn Bros.' boot store is lull to overflowing with a splendid assortment of the latest winter footwear. Elsewhere a replace advertisement gives particulars of the stock. Webster Bros, will sell on Friday next, under instructions from Mrs. Tipping, Devon Street, all her stock-in-trade, consisting of groceries, confectionery, preserved fruits, etc. The sale will be neld at the mart and will start at 2 o'clock. Grand and common jurors summoned to attend at the Supreme Court this morning are notified that their attendance will not be required. Mr. Wragge, with possibly the kindest of intentions, is letting slip only one jiolitieian at a time, but lie. no doubt, has the whole Parliament up his sleeve, and in due course we may expect to be "Dive"-ra" out of the way of an Okey, Jennings, or Hine fiale, in addition to avoiding the tail end of a Tommy lor tornado.
