FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA.
[ WHOLE piSTRICTS FLOODED. Sydney, June 20. The latest reports from tho Hooded districts &>'how tliat the rivers are still rising slowly, and that immense areas are under 'water. Many bridges have heen washed away. Vehicular traffic is blocked, and rescue boats have been sent uut. The flood in the Turnut river is tho highest for sixty years. A man was drowned in the flood waters at Tumberumba, and people had sensational escapes from drowning. DAMAGE TO BRIDGICS AND PROPERTY. SEVERAL RIVERS IN' HIGH FLOOD, Melbourne, Juno 20. Many miles of the Murray Flat are inundated, and the townships all alon" the higher reaches of the river are iso° luted. Great damage has been done to bridges and other property. Stockowners have .been warned to remove the iJnlk of their stock. The Ovens, -Ming, and other rivers aie also in high flood, and the country round Wangaratta is under water.
THE LATEST REPORTS, RIVERS STILL RISING. FLOODED AREA EXTENDING. Received June 28, 1.10 a.m. Sydney, June 27. Ine latest reports from Riverina state that the rivers are still rising and that the flooded area is extending.
