the Rev. \V. J. Mayers, who is in charge of the hoys from Dr. Jlarnardo's Homes, will conduct the service in the Whileley Wesleyan Church to-morrow evening, at 7 o'clock. Mr. W. D. Nicholas, one of tile oldest residents of the Feilding district, died early yesterday morning, aged 70. For many years the late Mr. Nicholas was a builder and contractor. Afterwards he occupied the position of supervisor for bridges, etc.—Press wire. Mr. C. Evetts. who was trained as a pupil teacher in the West End School, and Iras lieen occupying temporary positions under the Education Board, has been appointed assistant at the West End School. Russell, late of Knox Church, Auckland, lias received a unanimous call from the congregation of Bon Accord United Free Church, Aberdeen (Scotland). Since leaving Auckland, about two years ago, Mr. Russell spent nine months in charge of a church in Vienna, and after spending a. short time at Greenock, West Kilbride, and Edinburgh, he went to Bon Accord Church. Aberdeen, on a six months' engagement, which has now led to his permanent settlement in one of the lending churches in the Scottish city.
