TAYLOR'-OARRINGTON PICTURES.
A large audience is anticipated at the Theatre Royal to-night to witness Taylor-l/arriiigtoii's new programme, winch has been specially selccieil for this occasion. That the T.C. pictures' [■ontimie lo draw large houses is cvidenei'd by the following par. from a northern contemporary:—Lust night,at lire .Miners' I'nion Hall, the ever-popular laylor-L'arringtoii Picture combination broke all previous records in the i.vay of ••houses'' at Thames. An audience assembled at as early an hour as halfpast seven as would have pleased the heart of any manager, hut a quarter of an hour later the hall was packed in every quarter,■ and seats had to be improvised right up to the stage itself. The orchestra had to be slowed away behind the screen, and so keen were the 'public to get a view of the pictures that they proposed to pay for a "seat"
(or rather "stand") at the windows. All sales were stopped long before the advertised time of starting, and the fact that every lady was provided with a scat, while the pack portion was
packed like sardines in a box is surely testimony of the splendid reputation of this talented combination has obtained.
