Auckland, Thursday. The scow Zingara, ~-hicli left Auckland to salvage the wrecked Aeon at Christmas Island, returned unsuccessful. Captain P.obinson is' convinced that the Aeon was plundered by pirates. Two small boats that had been hauled high ashore by the Aeon's crew had disappeared. The hull of the Aeon had entirely disappeared, a small part of tlie bow only being left.
