THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
CANADIAN PROPOSALS, Received 23, 11 p.m. Ottawa, June 23. The Hon. L, P. Brodeur (Minister (or -Marine, and one of the Canadian representatives to the Imperial Conference), replying to a deputation at Montreal, said there were three proposal* Canada might offer—(l) Two Dreadnoughtb'; (2) contribute an annual round sum; o r (3) establish a Canadian naval militia. The latter Scheme, he »aid, was most favored by the Canadian Government. The Opposition also (supported it, provided one dry dock was built at Quebec or in the beat location.
