HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE. Wellington, Monday. The High Commissioner's cable, dated London, June 10, states: Mutton—The market is firmer, and a better demand for shipments is being made in America. There is a very limited supply of Xew Zealand butter. New Zealand choicest I litis, Australian 100s, Danish Ills, Siberian 100s. Cheese —The market is weak and inactive. Hemp—The market is quiet but steady. New Zealand good fair grade on spot £23 5s per ton, fair grade on spot £22, fair current Manila on spot £22 10s, June-August shipments of Xew Zealand good fair grade £23, fair grade £2l 15s, fair current Manila £22. The Manila output was 28,000 bales. Cocksfoot—The market is very quiet. There is nothing doing, and we cannot give quotations during the pres'ent condition of the market. Wheat—The market is firm, but the demand is only moderate. New Zealand long-berried wheat on spot ex granary per quarter of 41)011)9 40s Od; Xew Zealand short-berried wheat 45s 6d.
