i The Government has decided upon the W'stward route for the north of Auckland line. It will traverse the Bicker(staffe Estate, go througli 'M'CanwH's Gap, and over the Northern Wairoa Itiver, which is there navigable, north i Dargaville, joining the original iutc in the Mangakahia Valley. (The Minister of Railways says the i'idence is overwhelming in favour of lis route, which will serve three times (e population of the other route, here is also more timber and more along this line. Coal found not f/r away will be reported on.
