HIDE AXD SKIN REPORT, -Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having held their fortnightly sale of wool, skins, hides, etc., on Friday, when they offered a large catalogue of all classes to a good attendance of buyers. Prices realised were as follows: Wool—Market firm, with a slight advance. Crossbred, (id to S l / 4 ; iambs', lid to 7%d; pieces, 3-jid to o',4d; crutchings, id to (id; locks, 2d to Sheepskins—Prices showed an advance of about %d per lb. Crossbred, line 7d to T'/ifd, medium Od to G%d s shorts o%ii to a'/id, broken 3d to ]K'lts, 3'/,d to 4Vid; hoggets (i'/id to 7Vsd; shorn hoggets', o'/id to o%d; merino, 4d to o%d; crossbred, damp, 3s od to (is 4d j crossbred hoggets', damp, 4s 3d.

(Hides—Heavy sorts were slightly easier, but calfskins showed an advance of y 2 d to %d, realising as high as D'/id. No prime heavies were offered. Ox, heavy B'/ 2 d to G'/ S d, medium 5%d !,o fi'/id, light o'/jd to o%d, cut 3d to SViil, slippy 4%d to 554; cow, medium s'/ 3 d to 5%(1, cut 4%d, dt.v 4>/id to 4'//J; imll, 4 1 / 2 d; yearling 6%d; cut nml slippy 4%d to 5y 3 d; calf, best Od to U'/jd, medium 7%d, inferior I'/sd to 5%; horse hides Gs 3d each; cowtails, Is 9d per doz.; hore hair, Is 4d per lb. N.Z.L.M.A.'s REPORT. The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Stratford, have received the following cable from their London house under date 17th inst.:— Sheepskins generally have advanced '/id per lb, and those suitable for American trade %d per lb.
