She had anchored off the island at night with a line .fastened to a reef, when the wind ohanged and she was driven ashore. It is .expected that she will be a total loss. The crew was saved.

The Rimu was barboirad at Kawhia yesterday. She is expected to get out this morning, and should arrive at the breakwater to-day, proceeding to Opunake and Wanganui.
