The newspapers are commenting on the English Law:a Tenuis Association's parsimony in deciding that it is unable to guarantee an American team its ex-. pens.es to visit England to contest the I Davis Cup,'but that it is willing to send I a team to Philadelphia if guaranteed | £4OO. ] Melbourne, ,111110 G. I The Victorian Tennis Association debated the proposals in connection with the Davis Cup, and agreed that the committee of management should consist of four Australians and two New Zealanders, with headquarters in Australia, and that after the next Davis Cup match at Sydney the following contest be held in Xew Zealand. 11l the event of a determination of the agreement, any -uncxipected funds from the Davis competitions should be divided —two-thirds to the Australian Association and one-tliird to the New Zealand Association.
