This year the Taranaki Poultry Society intends leaking the annual show ft very much larger function than has ever been held before ia this province. To ensure the attendance of the public the society had introduced various classes, the principal being the home industries. The prizes for these are numerous and valuable. Knowing that the ladies of New Plymouth and district take delight in vieitig with each other at cooking, there is no doubt that this class will draw a very large numlwr of entries. The ladies' committee, consisting of Mrs. Dockrill, Miss Devenish and Miss McDonald, have this matter n hand. A large number of Miss McDonald's pupils, both at the Stratford and '* New Plymouth Technical Schools, are * entering' the cookery class competitions.
