HI'MAX BONES AND SKULLS. Received June 15, 1.10 a.m. Newcastle, June 14. When the barque Canterbury, from Eton, a small port on the Peruvian const, was discharging its ballast, it was discovered that tin) ballast contained human skulls and many leg and other liones. The captain states that he had grvat difficulty in obtaining ballast, even thouxh'he offered Ss fid a ton for it. He noticed the ballast be did get. contained bones, but thought they were tbose of animals until the ballast was discharged. It is supposed the ballast was taken from the site of an ancient Peruvian town.
