So far as can be ascertained, tile building, which is stated to have cost £II,OOO, was insured in the Victoria Company for £4OOO, and the contents for £IOOO or £I2OO, but the ofliee is unascertainable. A boardinghouse in Twin street, in the city, was practically destroyed by fire on' Saturday-night. It was owned by Tliomiw Wallace anil occupied by Samuel .Smith. The building was insured in the Liverpool,,Londoii and Globe for DOT, and the' furniture in the Royal for £l5O. The origin is nil- ' known.
