A ULASmti FATALITY. Hokitiku, Saturday Xiglit. Charles Clerkin, aged about 40 years, was killed this afternoon. llu was engaged blasting a big log on the boaoh, and on a report being heard ,two other men who -were similarly engaged ran up to the scene and fomul Olerkin with his skull fractured in two places. Deat'i must have been instantaneous. Deceased was wull and favorably known, and, although a single man, greatly helped to support his widowed mother. ;
