A JOCKEY'S INJURIES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. McKiimon. a jockey who was seriously injured by Irish, which fell in the Winter Steeplechase at Ellerslie, is m the hospital in a critical condition this morning. A FATAL SLIP. Auckland, Last Night. An elderly woman' named Anita floraneH, a resident of Sydenham, Christchurch, slipped atid fell, while alighting from a. tram ear at Onehunga this"evening, sustaining a. frateturc of the sikuli, death resulting several houra later. Deceased was on a visit to her daughter and had intended returning to Ohristehurcli to-morrow.
