l ADDRESS FROM WELLINGTON CITIZENS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Premier -was presented with an l'lumurated address by the citizens of Wellington to-night in the House of Representatives. The gathering was well attended' by ]*> th eexes. Mr. D. Nathan, on behalf of the committee, stated that the address was <jiven in revngnition of the 'Premier 1 * attitude in connection with the oiler of a Dreadnought. Sir ■Josf'p'h Ward, hi reply, expressed 1 ni.> warm thanks for the compliment to himself and his colleagues'. That the offer of 'the Government was unanimously approved by the people of the Dominion was proof to the rivals of Britain that every part of the Empire had to bo reckoned with in making their calculations. He referred to France'* new naval programme as a proof of the international situation. Britain must ia\e a fleet that would be recognised as unconquerable. (Cheers).
