At the annual meeting of the German Navy League, which was held at Kiel the "membership was stated to lie 077,503. , Prince Henry of Prussia congratulated the League on tlio restoration' of har- ■ mony, and recommended them to bww their efforts upon the navy law, whiclr was not always rightly understood. The German Admiral, Von Weber, said the defenev of the trade of the coasts was not the rfnly task for the Germannavy. The grouping of the Powers during the recent events in south-eastvrn - Europe showed that a strong navy was indispensable to the political prestige ol the Empire. Weber's demonstration that the navy law was capable of much further expansion, and could easily he made to cover a batch of new Invincible*, was vociferously applauded.
