Duchess of -Milan, which was' sold recently by the Duke of Norfolk for £OO,OOO, Die piircluiser was about to sell to an American for £75.000, when subscriptions .saved it for the nation. One anonymous donor gave £40.000, and the Treasury added £IO,OOO.
