News ha» been received bv mail tlut the Itoyal Geographical Society has de-i-iiled to „end -in expedition to the South Pole toward- the end of this year in charge of Captain Valentine Webster, ' wKn contribute €IO.OOO to the cost of the expedition. I'robablv it will be known as the Daily Telegraph South Polar expedition. It' expects to leave New Zealand, following the Shacklcton route.
