NO-LICENSE CONVENTION.

The annual convention of no-lieeuse supporters in the province was held at Stratford yesterday, ,\lr. C. E. Uellringer 'being ill the chair. There tvas a very representative gathering from all parts of the province. Rev. F. T. Head nnd Mr. J. McAlister were appointed reporters. 111-, (i. Foston, organiser, and Mr. A. Bruntnell, lecturer. Tile policy for the ensuing year was touched upon, but left for the full council to dcti'vmhie. The report was adopted. A financial statement presented by Jfr. J. ]). Morrison showed that the onl'v account owing was due to the N'ew Zealand Alliance, and this was allocated to the electorates.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. AV, C. Clement; vice-presidents, Messrs. ljalliwell, (iaukrodger, R. McK. Morison, (t. Fearee, and H. fjoodaere; secretarv and treasurer, Mr. (1. If. Maunder. The officers with three delegates from «achj electorate to form an executive. The delegates chosen were as follow:—l'atea Revs. Hoys, Mclvor, and Mr. E. Dixon; J'.gmont, Messrs. Tarrant, Herbert, and Rev. Wooloxall; Stratford, Messrs. Robinson, Sutherland, and Mail; Tanumki, Messrs. X. T. Jlaunder, Bellringer, and Ooekw: Tauniaruuiii, .Mrs. Cleave, .Miss •Toll, and Bev. F. T. ltead, \ very hearty and unanimous vote of thank's to the retiring officers, was carried be acclamation. *
