FRAUDULENT RETURNS.
A BANKER SENT TO PRISON'. Ottawa, May 31. Philippe Roy, formerly Speaker In the Quebec Legislature, and manager of the defunct Banquc Sainte Jean, Quebec, was sentenced to live year*' imprisonment for furnishing fake Government returns. Roy attempted to commit suicide.
