YOVXG BIRD CHAMPIONSHIP CUP. Last week the Xcw Plymouth Homing Club decided (lie young Wrd championship by holdiiig dn interval race from Wangii'mii (a distance of 83 miles), ten members competing in the event. The birds were kindly 'liberated hy Mr. C. Kyland. This race is one of the most important held this season.and always creates a good deal of interest among the members of tile dub. The weather I conditions were superb, the wind being in a favorable quarter, enabling fast times to be recorded. The winner put up a good performance, the velocity rc-gi-itei'ed comparing well with amy result' obtained in Xew Zealand. The follow-1 I in," were the plated birds:—B.
