"THE MERRY WIDOW." When critics disagree there is generally scope for more than one opinion on the part of the public, but there has been no disagreement, for a wonder, on the part of the leading critics in'the Old World, Australia, or Xew Zealand regarding the merits' of "The MemWidow," to be produced here on June 7. Frank Lchnr's charming work lias faced the batteries of the critical battalions of the world, but they have beei unable to find a weakness or make a breach in lh,. artistic armor in which the opera is encased. Kspecinlly novel and entrancing is the beautiful orchestration thai Lehar has evolved;; indeed, the musical will single this nut as a lentuiy, one, perhaps that has contributed in no small measure to the overwhelming success the opera has made wherever produced. The leading parts arc entrusted to such talented artists as Miss Florence Young, Mr. Andrew lligginsou. Mr. Bictor (iouriet. Mr. Reg. Roberts. Mr. \Y. S. Percy, Misses Xellie "Wilson and Fanny Dnngo.
