WEST'S PICTIHES. bvery year sees further advancement in the art of cinematography. but when the opening programme of' West's Pictures, including t'he famous art studies, is seen, it will be indeed diflieult to belicvp that it is possible to make any further advancement in the production ot a moving picture. This is particularly so in the case of a .fine dramatic story by 00. R. Sims, entitled "Lady Lehnicr's Jewels." During the production it takes very little imagination to tiansporl. the watchers from a picture shmv to one of real drama, so dear and defined is the depictment of tile expressions and actions of the artists, who ponrtray the many characters. Every moAcment and l ges'ture is so intense, and eliown with such faithfulness and reality. as to rivet the attention from start to finish. This star attraction, with other new subjects of a. scenic, dramatic and humorous nature, together with the high-class musical accompaniments bv De (iioeu's Vice-Regal Orchestra wil'l go to make up ail attractive cvvnino'a amusement for the many patrons' who will visit the Theatre Roval next lionday evening.
