Mr. Cooper, who appeared for the Union, said the increases asked
meant a total of £20,000 per annum, but the employers benefited to the extent of £70,000 a year owing to the increased duty on imported boot si. Incidence was not concluded when the Court rose for the day. The presAlenf said the C'ourl would not alter the award (if l!)0.i unless good reasons were shown for doing so, and it j appeared to him the demands turned the previous award upside down.
