Uaitara, December i; Patea, Easier Monday. Scott's jockey license was cancelled. At a subsequent meeting of the committee the matter of fixing date for the autumn meeting was considered and was left in the hands of Messrs Lepper and BluiuMl. It was decided to hold the Christmas meeting on December 27 and 28. The resignation of Mr. E, I'. Carthew was accepted. TURF TOPICS. (By "Moturoa.") The AVangamii winter meeting opens to-morrow. Eangihaeta appears to be none the worse for his fall at Hawera, and is galloping well at Wangainii. Jervcy George's team, Paritutu, Maika, Durability and Waihuka were taken up to Auckland at the beginning of the week, and will fulfil their Takapuna engagements to-morrow. Starboard went up by the same steamer. R. Hatch was in good form at me Ashburton meeting, and has now ridden over 80 winners this season. Moloch and Osiris are booked to leave - for Sydney to-day. The former will be given a run in hurdle races on the other side, and is said to be a splendid jumper. St. Bill is said to be better than Overtime over six furlongs, and, on the atter's showing at Hawera, St. Bill must be as well as ever he was. Joe Prosser's team for Wimgnnui includes Exmoor, Pawa and Playmate,aid the- trio arc said to bear a bright and healthy appearance.
Jack Pot, Woodhey, Xogi, Lnmsrtoril', Uaipii and Kiuteru arrived at \Vun<*inui on Wednesday, Kairoma, says °in exchange, did not accompany the "team, and may be reserved for the Great Northern Hurdle Race.
Belario is jumping proficiently at present, ami, with his pace, should not b ■ long in scoring over sticks.
