The deatli occurred at Wellington on Thursday of Mr. George Anderson, an ex-City 'Councillor and a resident ol Wellington for over fifty years. At Stratford, on Thursday evening, Mr. 11. W. Ryan, who recently retiredfrom the police force on .pension after 30 years* service, was presented with a handsomely-framed testimonial and gold watch and chain, and Mrs. Ryan was given a bracelet and brooch.
