Wellington, Friday. In the Supreme Court John WollVe was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for theft on a racecourse. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court Alfred James Cook, a half-caste, charged with assaulting a Chinese, was found not guilty.
AUCKLAND SESSIONS.
Auckland, Last Night. A number 0 f prisoners who had pleaded guilty in th,. lower Court to various ollcnecs were brought up for hciilohcc at Hie Supreme Court tliis afternoon. Thomas Henry llilliunu. for forger v and uttering, receiving 12 months'; Iler't Jenliings, for stealing portmanteaux, was sentenced to VI months'; Tnhi I'ei, a Maori from Whakatane, 18 months' for forgery; Main Te Haiti, another Maori, got 18 mouths' for breaking and entering at Kaikohe. Other sentences imposed were Horace Lyl'ord, robbery with violence at Gisliorne. two years'; Bert Dixon, forgery and uttering, thrsc years; Percy Ashlon Carter, forgery and uttering, 12 months'; Arthur Goor«e Melern and Victor Herbert. breakin» and entering a t Te Kuiti. three years'" John Wilson, for burglary at Gisbornc' was remanded for medical treatment. Alexander Stewart Mackenzie, forgery and uttering, .was sentenced 'to "two years : Andrew Wallace, breaking n nd entering „t N'garuawaliia, three years'and Aiden Murphy, assault on bo'vs, ten years',
