A butcher's steel was found among the bedclothes in Hie victim's house. \o'tfullivan (admitted that it Jbetaiged to him. lie could not say how it came into Gallncher's possession, it had been lying about his yard for some time. He admitted he was in arrears of rent, and that deceased had served him with a notice to quit. He stoutly denies any connection with the murder.
