RODE OVER A CLIFF.

REPORTED I'ATAIJTY AT TAUIAPE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taihape, Last Night. Information was received by the police here this morning that Patrick Kile.v, a single man, aged 24, a navvy working at Kawatau, near Mangaweka, while riding last night with two of his mates to camp, disappeared over a cliff into the river. Riley rode behind the others, who received their first intimation of their loss by a riderless horse joining them. The men went back, and heard Riley eall ont from the river. They conld not get to him owing to the high cliff, so they went for police assistance. A search was promptly instituted, but was unavailing. Tho search was lenewcd at Daybreak, but so far without result.
