■Following is the Rev. Bates" general weather forecast;— High westerly winds are probable north, of Kawliia and East Cape, ond southerly elsewhere. Heavy rain is probable On the East Coast o? the South Island, and changeable and showery weather elsewhere. Though still somewhat uncertain in the southern district, there are indications for a steady rise in the barometer in all parts titer about 12 hours.
