London, May 9. Sixty competitors started in the Windsor - Stamford Bridge Marathon rae c for the Sporting Life's challenge trophy, which is valued at £SOO, and is to be held for twelve months. Barrett, of the Polytechnic Club, was firo't, his time being 2 .hours 42 minutes 31 seconds. Lord, of the Waubley Park Club, was second in *2 hours 44 minutes 33 seconds; and Green, of the Sutton Club, third in 2 hours 4!) minutes 1 •eeond.
OLYMPIC GAMES REPRESENTATION

Wellington, Last Night. 'lh,, Olympic Games Representation Committee held their final meeting tonight. A statement of the total expenses in connection with H. E. Kerr's representation in the Olympic walking events, decided at Shepperd's Bush (England), was submitted. The surplus, after paying the New Zealand representatives' expenses, amounted t,o £7 l(is Od. The committee resolved to donate the amount unconditionally to the Wellington centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association
