Advices have Z 1 teen received that the Weir Company has placed orders at Glasgow for the construction of four high-class cargo steamers for the Sydney-Auckland-San •Francisco service. A TEMPESTUOUS VOYAGE. Auckland, Thursday.—The steamer Koromiko, which arrived from Newcastle this morning, encountered fierce gales and high seas. On the night of May 1 she shipped tremendous seas, compelling a deviation irom her courec. Next day a sea swept the deck, stove " in the starboard lifeboat, and flooded one of the cabins - . Very stormy weather continued till the morning of May 4. The Koromiko was also delayed gome time repairing a slight accident to her machinery.
