HOME DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs E. Griffiths and Co. arc in receipt of the following butter market report from their London principals. Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated March 3rd. 1900: Weather.—Most of the snow has now disappeared, and there is to-day a great improvement. Fine weather is now wanted in the agricultural diitricts. Banish: Prices remain the same and the market is just steady. Siberian: Xr> alteration either in price i)r condition affectinj th e market. The. few freshly-made butters sell quickly; sTtorcd very slowly. French: Finest grades firm, and the quantity available for this market :s comparatively Third quality rolls hav e been reduced fid per dozen, and generally the lower grades arc not jelling well. Australian: Unsalted has now a preference over salted, and is making more motiev. Quantity of finest is very light, and it is surprising that higher prices are not being made, but buyers are holding off wherever possible and resist anv attempt at an advance.

Xew Zealand: The s.e. Tainui butters arc verv firm, one of the best shipments, if not the best, we have had this season. The general shortage or finest butters fthould help agents to clear this steamer at full rates. There nn absence of life Or "go" in flic market.

Cheese.—Xew Zealand: An effort is being made to lever the price of white U|> a shilling, and hi the ease of one or two popular brands this has been made. Colored is still commanding a premium over white, but the demand is not quite

lo brisk. The quantity of colored in the s.s. Taiaui has enabled buyers to fill their requirements, and there are rfill some on hand. This has not been the cttse for several weeks.
