A SAD FATALITY.

liotorua. Lard Night. Charles Keen, aged 22, was drowned in the Lob-tvr Hath. Knirau reserve, at eleven o'clock this morning. Deceased went into the bath accompanied by a <■' paniou named llniwn, and almost immediately sank. He ro>e to the .-urtace and sank again, but did not again come to the surface. Brown ran for assistance, and Maoris dived and recovered the body, but too late. The Lobster Ibith was not rcco-nised as a public bath, all bather.- there doing so on their own responsibility. There have been several deaths in' the same baths. It is supposed the bather was overtaken by fumes.
