'HIE IXTICR-STATE TOURNAMENT. WIN l'(i[{ NEW ZEALAND INDIES. Received 23, 4 p.m. Sydney. April 2-1. The tennis tournament was continued to-day in line weather. There was a large attendance, including the (loveru-or-liencral. The play throughout was of a high standard. The matches between the ladies of Xew Zealand and New South Wales were keenlcontested, and provided excellent contests. The visitors proved too good for their opponents, and although two games are yetunfinished, the New Zealamlers havn practically won the inter-State matches.
