THE ASSOCIATION* GAME. A general meeting oi the Taranaki football Association was held at Eltliam on" Thursday. There were present: Messrs. Clarke' (chair), Colbcck, lietts, Melville, Stent, Smith, and Cameras* (hull, secretary). An apology was received from Mr. Prolfitt lor non-attend-anee. The Wanganui Football Assoeiation wrote asking for a match on June 3. It was decided to hold the matter over for the present to .sec if a match oil that date would not dash with the fixtures. The New Zealand Football Association wrote forwarding a draft of the proposed new rules for the Brown Challenge Shield.—With the exception of a few minor details these were approved. Mr. Clark was appointed delegate to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Football Association. The secretary was instructed to secure a dozen 1909 referees' charts for each of the affiliated elubs. The following gentlemen signilied their willingness to act as referees during the forthcoming Season:—Dr. Maelagan, Rev. \V. Stent, and Messrs. Kelly, Piggott, Betts, Newton, Cave and Clarke, It was resolved that failing Waitara or Inglewood affiliating this season Eltliam be included in the Northern Division. Mr. Colbeck notified the Association that Oniata would have a team competing in the cup championship matches this season;. It was decided to commence the cup fixtures on May 13th. It was decided that the re-play foi the championship between Ilawcr.i and Stratford take place at Kaponga on Thursday, May Oth. At Eltham. on Thursday, Stratford and Eltham played a match of two -U----minutes spells in heavy ram. itratlor.l won by 3 to nil, Kirkwood scoring a u>. which Cameron converted.
