ESTIMATED REVENUE. ■'"'. -Mr. H. Ellis, the clerk to the Tara- - niki County Council, is now circulating amongst members his estimate of revenue for the present year, ending on | Mst March, 1910. The county started ' the vear with an overdraft of just over ■ • .£4OOO, which reduces to un alarming degree the amount of money which can be said to be available for expenditure without overdraft. The amount outstanding is estimated to be 2 per cent, of the whole. Other receipts arc estimated to bv:— Licenses £3O, rents £125,. dog-tax £9O, traffic levies £3O, subsidy £246; a total of £3072. Deducting £650 ns the riding's esimated (bare of the cost of administration, the amount available is £2422, less £1220 18s 2d overdrawn on 31st March. Waitara riding, capital value £399,123, producing £1247 from a %d rate, less 4 per cent., or £SO, outstanding on 31st March, £1.197. Dog-tax will produce £65, subsidy £243, royalty £O, Waiwakaiho bridge instalment £100; total estimated revenue. £l6ll. Of this £3lO will, be applied, to the cost of adminisV {.ration, leaving, £l3Ol available, less £B7<H«s -overdrawn on 31st March last. : Omata riding, capital value £530,630. The riding's share of the cost of administration is set down at £209, and as the Hurworth riding had . not really been in existence before 31st •March last, it had no overdraft, %o that the balance of £9Bl should 1* available for„expenditure on the roads^
