DISASTROUS FIRE.

£50,000 DAMAGES IN SYDNEY. Sydney, April 22. A fire commenced at 4 o'clock in the large six-storey building in George Street, part of which was occupied by a branch of the post office and the Bulletin newspaper. At 0.30 the post office was gutted, but the brigades were successful in keeping back the Are from the Bulletin'office. The Bulletin office is practically undamaged. The other half of the building, which comprised a branch of the Post Office and the General Post Office stores, is completely destroyed. The damage will probably amount to £50,000. Received 21, 9.20 p.m. Sydney, April 21. The Are destroyed £15,000 worth of postal stores, including £9OO •worth of stamps and postal notes.
